What changed
On 15 October 2026, Velo3D (Nasdaq: VELO) said it expects third-quarter 2026 revenue of about $19.5 million to $20.5 million. That compares with $13.6 million in Q3 2025, or growth of about 43% to 51%. (Velo3D release; Form 8-K)
The figure is preliminary and unaudited. Quarter-end close is not complete. The auditor has not reviewed it. Velo3D says actual results could differ materially. (Exhibit 99.1)
Why it is material
The release gives revenue only. It has no gross margin, cash, backlog or split between Sapphire system sales and parts production. Those numbers decide whether growth converts to cash. The release’s risk factors still name going-concern and dilution risk from at-the-market sales. (Exhibit 99.1)
On 6 October 2026, Mears Machine Corporation ordered a sixth Sapphire XC, dedicated to copper-nickel. Velo3D did not tie it to the Q3 figure. (Mears release)
Final Q3 results are due the week of 9 November 2026. See the Velo3D tearsheet and this week’s AM Bottleneck Brief #6.
