What changed
On 15 October 2026, Titomic (ASX: TTT) announced a restructure that targets A$3.0 million in annualised cost savings. Estimated implementation cost is A$0.6 million, covering notice, redundancy and related payments. Implementation is expected to finish by the end of October. (Titomic ASX release, 15 Oct 2026)
The cuts cover sales, marketing and production-support staff in Australia, selected non-program roles in the United States, and consultant spend in Australia, the United States and Europe. Australia becomes the group’s global R&D centre. Executive Chair Dag Stromme said the changes position the company to reach cash-flow break-even during 2027. The release gives no cash balance, burn rate or revenue guidance.
The same day, Titomic disclosed a purchase order from Compass Systems worth more than US$400,000 (A$572,000). It covers two TKF 623 medium-pressure cold spray systems for Fleet Readiness Center Southwest, the U.S. Navy aviation repair facility at Naval Air Station North Island. The systems support cold spray repair development and production-level repair of approved aircraft components. (Titomic ASX release, 15 Oct 2026)
Why it is material
The restructure changes the cost base and the role of the Australian operation. The Navy order is a repair application, where use depends on qualification evidence. That evidence problem is covered in AM Bottleneck Brief #6. See the Titomic profile.
