Public Equity AM Profile · SIX SWISS EXCHANGE: COTN
Comet Holding: CT inspection for AM parts sits inside a semiconductor-led group.
Comet’s Industrial X-Ray Systems (IXS) division, Comet Yxlon, sells industrial X-ray and computed tomography (CT) systems used to inspect AM parts for porosity, residual powder and defects. AM is one application among many: the group is mostly driven by semiconductors, and Comet does not disclose AM revenue.

Quick research snapshot
AM exposure: Low
Pure-play score: 1 / 5
Bottleneck score: 3 / 5
Evidence: Qualified
Financial materiality: Immaterial
Main risk: AM inspection is a small, undisclosed part of a semiconductor-driven group; IXS is loss-making at EBITDA level.
Research verdict: CT is a real quality gate for critical AM parts and Yxlon is an established supplier, but Comet is not an AM investment thesis by itself.
